"ENGLISH TRIFLE" 
1 sm. angel food or pound cake
1/3 c. sherry (optional)
1 can peaches
1 (3 oz.) pkg. vanilla pudding
3/4 c. whipping cream
Colored sugar or sprinkles

Cut cake into bite-size pieces, sprinkle with sherry or juice from fruit. Cook pudding as directed. Cool to room temperature. Pour pudding over cake. Top with whipped cream. Decorate with colored sugar or sprinkles. Chill at least 4 hours.
