STARBUCKS WHO? | |
3 tbsp. premium flavored instant coffee (I like using hazelnut and vanilla) 1/2 cup cream 2 tbsp. brown or cane sugar butterscotch or caramel sauce (Smucker's) whipped cream topping (Reddi Whip) Ahead of time, combine 1 tablespoon of coffee and 1/2 tablespoon of sugar with hot water, pour mixture in an ice cube tray and freeze. Yes, I know what you're thinking "I need my coffee fix now". The reason behind freezing a batch of coffee is to avoid having the drink watered down with water ice cubes. Make it a habit: freeze left over coffee, that way you will always have it on hand. After the long agonizing wait is over it is time to make your drink, you barista you. In a blender combine 2 tablespoons of coffee, 1/2 cup of cream, 1 1/2 tablespoons brown or cane sugar, a few healthy squirts of butterscotch or caramel, half of the coffee ice cubes, and a few cups of really cold spring water. Whip that medley of sugar and caffeine real good. I mean it, you whip that real good. Place the leftover coffee ice cubes in glasses, pour drink, top with whipped cream, garnish with fancy swirls of butterscotch or caramel, and voila! Makes 2 servings. Submitted by: Rayna E. |
