My mother used to make this for us as kids. It is the best in the world. You have to make sure that the evaporated milk is well chilled for best results. Try it, you will love it!

All of my husband's family used to make this. It was served at our rehearsal dinner. It is delicious and light. My kids all like it now. Maybe my grandkids will, too.

My mother's family made this same recipe in the 1960 and 70s into the most wonderful lime pie using a graham cracker crust made from scratch and baked until brown per instructions on the graham cracker crumbs package. They would top the lime filling with whipping cream. It is fabulous!!
