PARKY BUTTER COOKIES 
Buttered baking sheets
1 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 egg yolks
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
2 egg whites, slightly beaten, fluffy

Cream butter and sugar, blend in egg yolks and vanilla. Add flour and salt, mix well. Chill dough for ease in handling. Shape into 1-inch balls. Dip in egg whites, then roll in nuts. Place on baking sheet. With finger make deep impression in center of each ball. Bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees for 15 to 18 minutes. Remove to wire rack to cool. Fill center of cool cookies with tinted icing.
