OVERNIGHT CINNAMON ROLLS | |
5 c. flour 1/2 c. sugar 1 1/2 tsp. salt 2 pkg. yeast 1 c. milk 2/3 c. water 1/4 c. butter 2 eggs (optional) White and brown sugar Cinnamon, raisins and nuts Combine flour, 1/2 cup sugar, salt and yeast. Stir until well mixed. Set aside. Combine milk, water and butter in pan and heat until warm. Mix warmed liquid with half of flour mixture and add 2 eggs (or omit). Lightly beat. Add remaining flour mixture. Knead gently. Let rise in large bowl (45 minutes). Divide dough in half. Roll 1/2 of dough to shape of 9 x 13 inch pan. Brush with melted butter and mixture of 1/4 cup white sugar, 1/4 cup brown sugar, 2 tablespoons cinnamon, raisins and nuts. Roll into a long roll. Slice off about 1 inch thick pieces and lay in greased pan. Let rise. Bake 20 to 30 minutes at 350 degrees. |
