HOT GERMAN POTATO SALAD 
6 potatoes
6 bacon strips
1/2 c. onions
2 tbsp. flour
1/2 tbsp. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. celery seed
Pepper
3/4 c. water
1/2 c. vinegar

Boil potatoes until tender. Peel, slice thin in casserole dish. Fry bacon. Drain fat; set aside. Saute onions until done in bacon fat, add flour, sugar, salt, celery seed, pepper and mix. Add carefully water, vinegar; cook and stir constantly until mixture boils. Pour over potatoes. Crumble bacon. Garnish with bacon and chives. Cover.
