STRAWBERRY PRETZEL SALAD 
1 c. plus 3 tbsp. sugar
1 lg. pkg. cream cheese
1 lg. (6 oz.) pkg. strawberry Jello
1 1/2 sticks butter
1 1/2 c. crushed pretzels, unsalted
1/8 tsp. salt
1 (8 oz.) pkg. Cool Whip
2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen strawberries

Cream 3 tablespoons sugar and butter together. Add crushed pretzels and salt. Mix well and press into 9x13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Let cool.

Combine cream cheese, 1 cup sugar together. Fold in Cool Whip. Spread on cooled crust and place in refrigerator to chill.

Dissolve Jello in 2 cups boiling water. Add 1/2 cup cool water and stir in strawberries. Chill until slushy. Spread over cream cheese layer. Chill. May be made a day ahead.
