BROCCOLI WITH ORANGE SAUCE | |
1 1/2 lb. broccoli, cut into serving sized spears 2 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese 1/4 c. milk 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. grated orange peel 1/4 tsp. thyme leaves 1/4 c. orange juice 2-3 tbsp. chopped walnuts, if desired In large saucepan, cook broccoli in boiling salted water until crisp-tender, 10- 12 minutes; drain well. Place broccoli in serving dish; keep warm. In small saucepan combine cream cheese, milk, salt, orange peel, and thyme. Cook over medium heat until smooth, stirring occasionally. Add orange juice; blend well. Pour orange sauce over broccoli; sprinkle with walnuts. Garnish with orange slices, if desired. |
