ASPARAGUS SOUP 
2 c. grated asparagus
2 onions, chopped
2 c. chopped celery
1 clove garlic
3 potatoes, chopped
1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. flour
4 c. chicken broth
3 c. asparagus pieces
1/2 tsp. thyme
1/2 tsp. marjoram
Salt and pepper
4 c. milk
Chopped tomato
Grated cheese
Sliced almonds

Saute onion, celery, garlic and potato in 1/4 cup butter, add flour, mix, add asparagus pieces, spices and simmer until asparagus is tender but pretty green color yet. Add milk and heat. Serve with tomato, grated cheese and almonds as a garnish in center of each serving.
