PIEROGIE CASSEROLE 
10 to 12 potatoes, boiled and mashed
3/4 lb. Cheddar cheese, sliced thin
2 sticks butter
2 onions
1 (8 oz.) pkg. wide noodles or 3/4 (12 oz.) pkg. noodles, cooked

Mash potatoes. Add cheese. Beat with mixer. Saute onions in butter until soft. Add 1/3 of the onion to potato mixture. Salt to taste. Butter a 9x13 inch baking dish.

Layer noodles, then potatoes and repeat, ending with noodles. Pour remaining butter and onion over all. Cover and bake at 350 degrees until heated through.
