GINGERBREAD COOKIES 
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. molasses
1 c. butter flavored Crisco
1 egg
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. ginger
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tbsp. cider vinegar
1 tsp. vanilla
Flour to make stiff dough

Combine sugar, molasses, butter, egg, cinnamon, ginger and soda. Mix well. Add vinegar, vanilla and enough flour to make a stiff dough. Roll thin, cut with cookie cutter. Bake in moderate 325 degree oven for 10 to 12 minutes.
