SCALLOPED OYSTERS 
2 sm. cans or 1 pt. fresh oysters (standards)
butter
Crushed saltine crackers
Salt and pepper
Milk

Layer in 1 1/2 to 2 qt. casserole (buttered) beginning with cracker crumbs, oysters, butter and continue layers until about 1/4 to 1/2 inch from top of bowl. Top layer should be cracker crumbs dotted with butter. Pour milk over all until almost even with top layer. Heat through, at 375 degrees until hot throughout and slightly browned on top. Serve hot!
