1 box Duncan Hines cake mix, chocolate
1 can cherry pie filling
1 tsp. almond flavoring
3 eggs, beaten
1/4 c. rum or water
Pinch of salt

Mix until blended, by hand. Grease and flour 9 x 13 pan or 2 (8 inch) cake pans. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes on 350 degrees. Cool completely before frosting.

FROSTING:

1 c. sugar
1/3 c. milk
5 tbsp. butter

Mix all in double boiler and bring to good boil. Boil one minute, remove and add 1 (6 oz.) bag semi sweet chocolate morsels. Mix and spread on cake.
