2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. chopped marshmallows
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. butter
3 tbsp. cocoa
1 c. Coca-Cola
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
2 eggs, beaten

Sift together flour and sugar. Stir in marshmallows; set aside. In a saucepan, put the shortening, butter, cocoa, and Coca-Cola. Bring to a boil and heat just until shortening and butter melt. Remove from heat and pour over flour mixture. Stir in buttermilk, baking soda, and eggs.

Note: Do not beat the mixture.

Pour into a greased tube pan and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until cake tests done. Remove from oven and cool in pan. Cake may crumble slightly. (Cake may be baked in a 9 x 9 x 2 inch pan or loaf pan, but will take longer to bake.)
