MOM'S SOUTHERN CORN BREAD 
2 c. cornmeal
1 tsp. salt
2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
2 eggs, beaten
1/4 c. bacon drippings

Combine cornmeal, baking soda and salt. Stir in eggs and buttermilk. Heat bacon drippings in 8 inch iron skillet until very hot. Add drippings to batter; mix well. Pour batter into hot skillet and bake at 450 degrees for 25 minutes.
