MAYO-PARMESAN BREAD 
1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 c. salad dressing or mayonnaise
2 tbsp. snipped chives or parsley (opt.)
8-10 slices French or Italian bread, cut 1/2" thick

In a small mixing bowl combine Parmesan cheese and salad dressing or mayonnaise. Stir in snipped chives or parsley, if desired. Set aside.

Place French or Italian bread slices on rack of an unheated broiler pan. Broil 3 to 4 inches from heat about 1 minute or until toasted.

Turn bread over. Spread some salad dressing or mayonnaise mixture on the untoasted side of each slice of bread. Boil salad dressing side up, 3 to 4 inches from heat for 2 or 3 minutes or until light brown. Serves 4 to 5.
