HAM AND CHEESE SANDWICHES | |
1 (1/2 lb.) pkg. ham (long slices) 1 pkg. Swiss cheese (long slices) 3 pkgs. Ready to Serve Rolls of 24 to a pkg. Cut ham and cheese into long slices, about the size of the rolls. SAUCE: 1 stick butter 2 tbsp. sugar 1 tbsp. grated onion 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 2 tbsp. poppy seeds (optional) 2 tbsp. mustard Salt and pepper to taste Melt butter and add sauce ingredients in order. Break pan of rolls into 3 rows. Slice each row open, lay aside. Spread sauce on both sides. Add slices of ham and cheese. Fold rolls back together and place back in pan. Bake at 250 degrees for approximately 20 minutes or until cheese begins to melt. Can be made ahead and frozen. Thaw partially and bake at 250 degrees for approximately 30 minutes. Slice to serve. |
