BEEF-CHEDDAR MACARONI CASSEROLE 
1 lb. ground beef
1 lg. onion, chopped
2 tbsp. butter
1 (15 1/2 oz.) jar prepared spaghetti sauce
1 (8 oz.) pkg. elbow macaroni, cooked and drained
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
1 1/2 c. (6 oz.) shredded Cheddar cheese
1 can (4 oz.) sliced mushrooms, drain
1 tsp. basil
1/4 tsp. oregano

Preheat oven to 350. In large skillet, brown beef, drain fat, and set aside. In same skillet, saute onion in butter until translucent. In large bowl, combine beef and onion, spaghetti sauce, macaroni, 1 cup of the cheese, mushrooms, and seasonings.

Spoon into 11x7x2 baking dish. Bake, covered, 20 minutes or until bubbly. Remove cover and evenly sprinkle with 1/2 cup cheese and bake 5 minutes longer or until cheese melts. Serves 6.
