PUMPKIN DESSERT SQUARES 
1 pkg. yellow cake mix (reserve 1 c.)
1/3 c. butter, melted
1 egg

Combine above ingredients and press in oiled 9 x 13 inch pan.

FILLING:

1 (14 oz.) can pumpkin pie mix or 1 can pumpkin with 2 1/2 tbsp. pumpkin pie spice
1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2/3 c. milk

Mix and pour over the crust.

TOPPING:

1 c. reserved cake mix
1/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. butter

Mix and sprinkle over filling. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 50 minutes until knife comes out clean. Cool and serve with whipped topping. Refrigerate the leftovers.
