CRANBERRY SPICE CAKE 
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 egg (beaten)
1 c. raisins
1/2 c. nutmeats (chopped)
1 3/4 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 c. cranberry sauce (whole or jellied)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour tube pan or two 8 inch cake pans. Cream shortening, sugar and egg. Stir raisins and nuts. Combine dry ingredients and sift together. Mix all ingredients. Bake in tube pan for 1 hour or cake pans for 30 to 40 minutes.

FROSTING:

4 tbsp. cranberry sauce
1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese (softened)
1/3 tsp. salt
1 lb. powdered sugar

Mix top three ingredients. Gradually add powdered sugar. Beat until creamy. Frost cooled cake.
