LITTLE BITS CRUMB MUFFINS | |
1/2 c. brown sugar 2 tbsp. butter (melted) 1 tbsp. all-purpose flour 1/2 c. finely chopped walnuts or hazelnuts 1 (12 oz.) pkg. (2 c.) Nestle Toll House Little Bits Semi-Sweet Chocolate, divided MUFFIN: 1 1/3 c. all-purpose flour 3/4 tsp. baking powder 3/4 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 1/3 c. butter (softened) 2/3 c. sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 2 eggs 2/3 c. sour cream Topping: In bowl combine brown sugar, butter and flour; mix well. Stir in nuts and 1/2 cup little bits. Set aside. Muffin: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In bowl combine flour, baking powder and baking soda, salt, set aside. In another bowl beat butter, sugar and vanilla until fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Gradually add flour mixture alternately with sour cream. Fold in remaining 1 1/2 cups little bits. Spoon into paper-lined muffin cups, filling each about half full. Sprinkle each with topping. Bake 20 to 25 minutes. Cool. Makes 18 muffins. |
