Wonderful and easy recipe. Although the note is incorrect as to how it got it's name. The name comes from this cake being a popular dessert at "Pig Pickins". For those not from the "South", it is a get together people have in the summer mostly and cook a whole pig. So you have BBQ and all fixins....coleslaw, potato salad, baked beans, rolls are all common and of course this cake & maybe banana pudding.
