BAVARIAN SPICE CHOCOLATE CAKE | |
1 pkg. devils food cake mix 1 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 tsp. nutmeg 1 c. cooked mashed potatoes 1/2 c. butter (softened) 1/2 c. water 3 eggs, beaten 1/2 c. chopped nuts Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour 10 inch tube pan or 12 cup fluted pan. Blend cake mix, cinnamon, nutmeg, potatoes, butter, water and eggs at low speed until moistened. Beat 2 minutes at highest speed. Stir in nuts. Pour into prepared pan and bake at 350 degrees for 40-50 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Cool upright in pan for 25 minutes. Invert onto serving plate and cool completely. Top with powdered sugar or drizzle chocolate glaze over cake. |
