1 lb. butter or 2 sticks butter & 2 sticks butter (soft)
1 c. sugar
4 c. flour

Cream butter and sugar well. Then add flour slowly (I use my hands). Pinch and roll into balls place on cookie sheet flatten with fork. Bake at 325 degrees for 12-15 minutes. This will make 90-100 cookies. You can place chocolate chips or nuts on each one or leaves plain.
