CHOCOLATE - OAT - CHIP COOKIES 
1 c. butter, softened
1 1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 tbsp. milk
2 tsp. vanilla
1 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt, optional
2 1/2 c. uncooked oats
2 c. chocolate morsels
1 c. chopped nuts, optional

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Beat butter and sugar until creamy. Add eggs, milk and vanilla; beat well. Add flour, baking soda and salt; mix well. Stir in oats, chocolate morsels and nuts; mix well. Drop by rounded measuring tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 9-10 minutes for a chewy cookie or 12-13 for a crisp cookie. Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet; remove to wire rack. Cool completely. Yield 5 dozen.
