CRISP CUCUMBER PICKLE 
5 lb. sm. cucumbers
2 tbsp. mixed spices
4 c. vinegar
8 c. sugar
4 tsp. salt

Cover whole cucumbers with boiling water. Let stand overnight. Drain. Repeat 3 times more. On fifth day drain and cut into bite size chunks. Let stand 2 days. Bring to full boil. Put in jars and cover with syrup and seal.
