OATMEAL PIE 
1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. dark corn syrup
3 eggs, beaten
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 c. chopped nuts
1 c. rolled oats
1 (9 inch) unbaked pie crust

Cream together butter and sugar; add cinnamon and salt. Stir in syrup; add egg 1 at a time, stirring after each addition until blended. Stir in vanilla, oats, and nuts. Pour into unbaked pie shell. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until knife comes out clean.

NOTE: During the baking the oatmeal forms a chewy dainty crust on top. Pie is rich and delicious.
