BROWNIE MOCHA TORTE 
1 (23 oz.) brownie mix
1/2 c. walnuts

Frosting:

2 c. whipping cream
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. instant coffee
1 to 2 tsp. maple flavoring
1/2 c. brown sugar

Bake one brownie mix (cake-like method) plus walnuts in two greased 9-inch round pans.

Bake 20 minutes at 350°F. Remove from pans before completely cooled.

Whip the cream to peaks; add remaining ingredients gradually. Put 1/3 of frosting between the layers; cover top and sides with remaining topping. Garnish top of torte with chocolate shavings and/or walnuts.

Serves 12.
