TWENTY-TWO MINUTE CHOCOLATE CAKE
1 stick butter
1/2 c. shortening or oil
4 tbsp. cocoa
1 c. water

Heat above ingredients in microwave and stir. Pour into 2 cups flour and 2 cups sugar.

Mix the following in a separate container: 2 eggs 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. vanilla

If you do not have buttermilk, you can make it with 10 tablespoons sweet milk plus 3 tablespoons vinegar. This will equal 1/2 cup.

Mix these ingredients and pour into the first ingredients. Stir well by hand. Pour into a greased and floured rectangular baking pan and bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.

FROSTING:

6 tbsp. milk
1 stick butter
4 tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. vanilla
1 box powdered sugar

Bring first 3 ingredients to a boil in microwave. Remove and add vanilla. Beat by hand or mixer as you add powdered sugar until smooth. Poke hot cake full of holes with a fork and pour hot frosting over hot cake. Cool and serve.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
