FRUIT AND GREENS SALAD 
This is from a recipe book called "Recipes for Summer Days".

DRESSING:

1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. freshly ground pepper
2 tbsp. sugar
1/4 c. cider vinegar
2/3 c. vegetable oil
Several drops Tabasco pepper sauce
1/4 c. minced parsley

Place all ingredients in blender or food processor; blend well. Keep in covered jar in refrigerator.

1 bunch red leaf lettuce, trimmed, washed and crisped
1 head Romaine lettuce, trimmed, washed and crisped
1 cucumber, pared and sliced
1 1/2 c. chopped celery
1 red apple, cored and diced
4 green onions, thinly sliced
1 (15 oz.) can mandarin orange sections, drained
1/3 c. sesame seed, toasted

In large salad bowl, place lettuce torn into bite size pieces. Add cucumber, celery, apple, green onions and mandarin oranges. Just before serving toss with dressing, sprinkle with sesame seed and serve.

NOTE: To toast sesame seed, place in small skillet and stir until browned over medium-low heat. Or, place in preheated 300 degree oven for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until browned.
