SOFT MOLASSES COOKIES 
2 c. molasses
1 c. shortening
1 c. hot water
2 tsp. baking soda (heaping)
1 tsp. ginger
4 1/2 c. flour

Mix and roll out with rolling pin. Bake in 375 degree oven for 8 to 10 minutes. Watch carefully so they will not burn. Bake on greased cookie sheet. The longer you cook them the harder they get, so take them out when real soft.
