1 tsp. vanilla 1 c. sugar 1/2 lb. real butter (2 sticks) 3 tbsp. water Bring to a boil. Takes about 10 minutes. Should be about the color of peanut butter. Pour out on to cookie sheet. Break up 4 Hershey candy bars. Place evenly over the candy mixture. Allow to melt a minute. Then spread with knife. Sprinkle some chopped nuts on top. Allow to cool at room temperature. Crack by hand when hardened. Helpful Hint: It helps to have a jar of peanut butter out. It's darker than you think! |
