STUART'S FOR FAR BRIDIES 
1 lb. ground beef
Salt and pepper
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 sm. minced onion
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
4 tbsp. stock

SHORT CRUST PASTRY:

1 lb. flour
1/2 lb. shortening
Pinch salt
1/2 c. cold water

Mix all filling ingredients. Mix pastry ingredients. Roll out and cut into circles about 6 inches in diameter. Fill half the circle with filling, damp the edges and fold over, crimping with a fork to secure. Brush with egg, cut a slot in top. Bake on a baking sheet at 250 degrees for about 45 minutes.
