DATE NUT BREAD 
1 c. hot water
1 c. seedless ground dates
1/2 c. nuts, ground
1/4 c. shortening
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. wheat flour
1/2 c. graham flour

Pour hot water over ground dates and nuts. Let stand 5 minutes. Add other ingredients, stir. Put in greased pan. Bake at 375 degrees until done. Very good with cream cheese.
