APPLE-RHUBARB BUTTER | |
3 lbs. rhubarb, cooked and strained 4 lbs. apples, cooked and strained Put into the strained sauce: 4 lbs. sugar 1/2 c. vinegar 1 to 2 c. water (depends on how much water in sauce) Put in heavy boiler. Cook slowly until it sets on a plate and doesn't run, 3 to 4 hours. During last 10 minutes of cooking add 2 teaspoons ground cloves and 2 teaspoons cinnamon. |
