APPLE PIE FILLING 
4 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. cornstarch
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
2 tsp. cinnamon
3 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. grated orange peel
10 c. water

Blend first 4 ingredients with 10 cups of water. Cook over medium heat until thickened. Add lemon juice and orange peel. Cut tart apples into 6 quart freezer containers. Pour hot mixture over apples. Freeze. Cook as fresh apple pie immediately after thawing. A real time saver.
