4 oz. (1 c.) cinnamon
1 tbsp. cloves, ground
1 tbsp. nutmeg
3/4 c. applesauce
2 tbsp. white glue (Elmer's)

In medium bowl combine cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg. Add applesauce and glue, stirring to combine. Begin working mixture with hands 2-3 minutes or until dough is smooth without any bubbles.

Take a small ball of dough and place between 2 small pieces of wax paper. Using a rolling pin, roll out dough until desired thickness, about 1/4 inch. Cut dough with cookie cutter. Using a nail, make a small hole in the top of each ornament. Place ornaments on wax paper on a cookie sheet on box top. Allow to dry at room temperature for several days. For a more uniform dryness, turn ornaments once a day. Thread ribbon through hole in ornament. These smell great. Yields approximately 32 (2 inch).
