ARROZ CON POLLO | |
1 fryer, cut up 1/2 c. shortening 1 c. rice 1/4 c. chopped onion 1 clove garlic, minced 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas, cooked 1/4 c. tomato puree 2 1/2 c. water 2 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper 1/16 tsp. saffron Brown chicken in hot shortening. Add remaining ingredients, except peas, and stir until mixed. Cover and simmer 40 minutes. Garnish with cooked green peas. Serves 6. |
