PORK CHOPS & APPLE RINGS | |
3 lbs. pork chops 1 tbsp. salt 4 tart apples 1 tsp. cinnamon 1/4 tsp. nutmeg 2 tbsp. brown sugar 3/4 c. apple jelly 1/4 c. lemon juice Trim fat from chops. Sprinkle with salt. Place chops on rack in shallow baking pan. Brown in oven. Meanwhile, core and cut apples into 1/2 inch slices. Mix remaining ingredients in saucepan. Cook until jelly is melted. Brush jelly on one side of chops. Bake 30 minutes, baste occasionally with jelly. Turn chops over. Place apple slices on chops and baste with jelly. Bake 1 more hour, basting occasionally. |
