SOPAPILLAS 
2 pkg. yeast
1 1/2 c. powdered milk
2 tbsp. meal
2 c. warm water
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter
5 c. flour

Mix yeast, sugar, milk, meal and salt in bowl. Heat water and butter to very warm. Add to bowl and mix 2 minutes. Add 1/2 cup flour and beat 2 minutes. Add rest of flour, 1 cup at a time. Cover and let stand 1 1/2 hours. Put in greased bag. To cook: roll out on floured board 1/8 to 1/4 inch thick. Cut into 2 x 3 inch strips. Fry in hot fat (350 degrees) about 3 minutes. Turn once.
