1 c. oatmeal (not instant)
1 stick butter
1 3/4 c. boiling water
1 c. sugar
1 c. light packed brown sugar
2 lg. eggs, slightly beaten
1 3/4 c. flour
4 tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Pour boiling water over oats and butter in a large bowl. Let stand 10 minutes. Stir in sugars and eggs. Combine dry ingredients and add. Stir in 1 cup chocolate chips. Pour into greased and floured 9x13 inch pan. Sprinkle remaining chocolate chips over top. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes or until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean.
