CRANBERRY CAKE WITH BUTTER SAUCE 
2 c. plain flour
1 c. sugar
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg
3 tbsp. melted butter
2/3 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. whole cranberries

SAUCE:

1 c. butter
2 c. brown sugar
1 1/2 c. evaporated milk
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 9 inch round pan. Combine dry ingredients. Add eggs, milk and vanilla. Pour over dry ingredients and beat 2 minutes. Stir in cranberries by hand and pour into 9 inch oiled pan. Bake 40 minutes or until done. In double boiler, melt butter, add sugar, milk and cinnamon. Cook over hot water approximately 5 minutes. Whisk until smooth. Serve warm over cake wedge.
