FUDGE PUDDING CAKE 
Recipe for 9 x 9-inch:

1 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. sugar
2 tbsp. cocoa
1/2 c. milk
2 tbsp. melted butter
1 c. chopped walnuts
1 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. cocoa
1 3/4 c. hot water

Recipe for 9 x 13-inch:

1 c. sugar
3 tbsp. cocoa
3/4 c. milk
3 tbsp. melted butter
1 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
6 tbsp. cocoa
2 1/2 c. hot water

Mix together flour, baking powder, salt, sugar and 2 tablespoons cocoa. Stir in milk and melted butter (will be very stiff.) Spread in 9 x 9-inch or 9 x 13-inch pan. Sprinkle nuts (if desired), brown sugar and 1/4 cup cocoa over first mixture. Slowly pour hot water over all. Carefully put into oven.

Bake at 350°F for 45 minutes.

Cake will form on top with pudding underneath. Flip servings over onto plate and top with ice cream or whipped cream, if desired.
