OVEN BAKED STEW 
2 lbs. stewing beef, cubed
2 onions, chopped
1 jar cooked onions, drained
1/2 soup can water
Sprinkle of pepper
6 med. carrots, sliced
3 potatoes, peeled & quartered
1 (10 1/2 oz.) can condensed tomato soup
1 tsp. salt
1 bay leaf

Preheat oven to 275 degrees. Put all ingredients in large casserole with lid to fit. There is no need to brown meat first. Mix ingredients, cover and bake in preheated oven for 5 hours. Yields 4 to 6.
