CINNAMON APPLE RINGS 
18 med. apples, peeled and cored and sliced
6 c. sugar
3 c. water
1 (9 oz.) bag red cinnamon candies

Place sliced apples in solution of 3 tablespoons salt and 4 quarts water to prevent darkening. Combine 6 cups sugar, 3 cups water and candies in 5 quart kettle.

Boil 3 minutes stirring constantly. Drain and rinse apple and add to syrup cook 5 minutes. Pack in hot jars and process in boiling water 25 minutes. Makes 4 pints
