BUTTER PECAN TURTLE COOKIES 
CRUST:

2 c. flour
1 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. butter (no substitute)

CARAMEL LAYER:

2/3 c. butter (no substitute)
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 c. pecan halves
1 c. milk chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In large bowl combine the crust ingredients. Mix with hand blender for 2 to 3 minutes, scraping the sides of bowl often. Pat mixture firmly into ungreased 9"x13" pan. Sprinkle with pecans. Prepare the caramel layer and pour evenly over crust. Bake for 18 to 22 minutes or until caramel is bubbly and crust golden brown. Remove from oven and sprinkle with chocolate chips, allow to melt somewhat and spread for marble effect. Allow to cool and cut into 3 to 4 dozen bars.

To make the Caramel Layer: In saucepan combine the butter and the sugar. Cook over medium heat stirring constantly. Heat and stir until the entire surface is bubbling. Boil 30 to 60 seconds, stirring constantly.
