1 can cherry pie filling #2 can crushed pineapple 1 box cake mix, yellow or chocolate (mix you add oil to) 1 stick butter 1 or 2 c. chopped nuts Use a 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan, ungreased. Do not drain. Spread cherries evenly in pan. Spread crushed pineapple over cherries. Spread dry cake mix evenly over cherries and pineapple. Cut butter evenly over cake mix. Add chopped nuts over all of this. Bake at 350 degrees for 48 to 53 minutes. When serving, have cherries on top - serve with Cool Whip. |
