PERSIMMON PUDDING WITH TOPPING 
Pudding:

1 1/2 c. white sugar
3 eggs
2 c. milk
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 lb. butter, melted
2 c. persimmons, pulp
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla

Preheat oven to 350 - 400°F mix butter and sugar. Add eggs and beat well. Add persimmons and dry ingredients. Mix well and bake in 9 x 13 inch pan for 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Sauce:

4 level tbsp. flour
1 1/2 c. water
1 c. brown sugar
2 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix the ingredients for the sauce except the vanilla. Cook until thick and then add vanilla. Have ready as soon as the pudding comes out of the oven. Pour over hot pudding.
