LINGUINI AND CLAM SOUP 
2 c. water
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. broken linguini
2 tbsp. butter
2 cans (6 1/2 oz. each) minced clams, drained
2 c. half and half
1/4 tsp. white pepper
1 c. shredded white Cheddar cheese

Combine water and salt in soup pot. Bring to a boil and add linguini. Bring to boil again and cook until linguini is tender. Stir in the butter and clams. Gradually add the half and half. Heat thoroughly and then stir in the white pepper and cheese.
