CHEESE CAKE SQUARES 
1 c. all-purpose flour
1/3 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 c. chopped nuts

FILLING:

8 oz. cream cheese, softened
1/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. milk
2 tbsp. lemon juice

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl combine flour, butter and brown sugar. Blend with mixer at low speed 2-3 minutes until particles are fine. Stir in nuts. Reserve 1 cup of mix for top. Pat remainder in ungreased 8 inch square pan. Bake 8-10 minutes until slightly brown.

Prepare filling. Spread over partially baked crust. Sprinkle with reserved crumb mixture. Return to oven for 23-30 minutes or until golden brown. Cool. Cut into bars. Store in refrigerator (24-30 bars).

To prepare filling: Combine filling ingredients in a 1 quart bowl. Blend until smooth.
